Show Stopping Stairs at Lambeau Field

Challenge

Step into the heart of the NFL at historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin—then try templating four floors of staircases (with three landings destined to become a jaw-dropping woodworking masterpiece), all while the site is in full swing. Carpenters are mid-build, electricians are threading LED wiring, a mural team is installing a three-story mural on stainless steel panels, scaffolding stretches in every direction, and the flooring crew is still setting tile on the second-floor landing. In other words: controlled chaos. Through precise coordination and expert templating, we ensured this architectural showpiece came together flawlessly—just in time for the NFL Draft at Lambeau.

Solution

Dig in and start templating—that was the mission. Using advanced laser technology that allowed us to move freely across the entire stair system without sacrificing a fraction of accuracy, we worked in close coordination with the site PM, carpenters, electricians, tile setters, the mural team, and just about anyone else who found themselves in the mix. The flexibility to relocate as needed meant progress didn’t stall—trades kept moving, and we kept templating. To ensure pinpoint precision, we used our software to verify accuracy by directing the laser back to pre-marked reference points—because in a project like this, “close enough” is a phrase we reserve for parking spots, not your project.

Results

With over 300 custom mahogany pieces flawlessly installed—not to mention the stunning floating stairs illuminated with LED lighting that make them appear to defy gravity—this jaw-dropping staircase exceeded every expectation. Architects, designers, the Green Bay Packers executive team, and daily visitors alike have been wowed by the craftsmanship. Add in the three-story mural honoring the team’s legendary players and the dramatic light fixture descending from the ceiling to the first-floor landing, and you get a staircase so captivating that people actually choose to take the stairs rather than wait for the elevators. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then pictures of these finished stairs tell volumes of incredible craftsmanship.
